Suitcase Cult (often written as suitcase.cult) is an immersive rock and grunge band based in Sydney, Australia. Originally started as a busking duo on city streets, they have evolved into a four-piece band known for their live shows, heavy rock sound, and original music exploring themes of resilience and identity.

The group features members Rendy Nucci and Nick Kusumo, and they frequently play at local venues around Sydney such as Lazybones Lounge, The Chippo Hotel, and Blackwattle Brewery. While their early busking days featured covers of 90s and 2000s grunge bands like Pearl Jam and Audioslave, they are now actively releasing their own original tracks, including their singles "Living Dead" and "Heir to the Apprentice”

Remember that time a guy climbed on top of a phone box during a Suitcase.cult session on George St.

In that moment I was HOOKED. Photos of flowers and birds are lovely and nice, but live music is raw, intense and especially on the street unpredictable.

This is the band that started it all for me. I started out taking photos causally, but was inspired by NYC street photography scene to get out into my own streets.

Friday and Saturday nights where spent up and down George St looking for shots and being terrified to be out in public with a camera.

Repeatedly, I found these boys out in front of the cinemas on George St, playing Pearl Jam, Nirvana and Radiohead, pulling massive crowds that threatened to stop the light rail in it’s tracks.
